Beschreibung

Opus One 2021 represents one of the finest vintages from this legendary Napa Valley estate.

Nine 2021 Napa wines earned 100-point scores, and while Opus One didn't reach perfection, it earned 98 points from multiple critics.

The 2021 vintage could turn out to be the best year since 2013, with wines that are big, deep and concentrated, balanced with acidity and firm in very fine-grained tannins.

Opus One started the 2021 harvest on Aug. 31 and finished Sept. 24, with alcohol below 14 percent and markedly fresh fruit character.

Founded in 1979 as a partnership between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, Opus One was created to produce a Napa Valley wine in the great Bordeaux tradition.

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, aged in new French oak.

Opus One consistently ranks among Napa Valley's most prestigious wines, combining power with elegance and having significant aging potential of 20-30 years or more.
