Beschreibung

The Quilceda Creek 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from Champoux (90%) and Mach One (10%) vineyards.

The specific clones used are 4, 8, 337, 191, and 685.

The wine features multiple layers of complexity with a core of blackberry, blueberry and plums, with nuances of sandalwood and anise.

Exotic notes of black walnut, hoisin sauce and cocoa nibs add intrigue.

Black rose petals with blueberry compote, sandalwood, mocha, tar and anise create an aromatic tapestry.

The palate offers medium to full-bodied richness, a round, opulent mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a heady finish.

Tremendous density and concentration due to the small berry size characterize this vintage.

Huckleberry pie, dark chocolate covered blackberry and black raspberry coulis combine with loamy soils.

The wine was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak and bottled in September 2022.

Only 5,450 cases were produced.

This wine received 99 points and represents the pinnacle of Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon.
